Who We're Looking For

Copa Health is seeking an Employment Specialist II to provide Supported Employment Services to members seeking to obtain and/or maintain employment in the community. Follow the 7 Supported Employment Core Principals of SAMHSA, adhere to the philosophy of normalization and community integration as appropriate and Attend meetings on assigned caseload; communicate with clinical team any concerns and or accomplishments, presenting information in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the maintenance of departmental operations to achieve compliance with contract requirements, accreditation, licensing and monitoring standards, agency procedures, Federal/State/Local regulations and all other licensing/regulatory agencies as directed. Adhere to current training requirements and applicable accreditation and licensing/regulatory standards and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Health Information Technology for Economic Clinical Health (HITECH ) requirements.
  • Coordinate information and contribute to the successful resolution of challenges. Communicate with integrity and honesty, clearly and concisely, and in a respectful manner to all team members. Ensure the confidentiality of written, verbal and electronic communications pertaining to members, staff, families of consumers and agency operations.
  • Demonstrate and maintain professional, respectful, productive working relationships with all agency departments, staff, board members, funding sources, individuals receiving services, families utilizing or enquiring about services, funding sources and the community.
  • Engage members and establish trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goal of competitive employment in community job settings. Jobs that are “not” designated for people with disabilities.
  • Carry a caseload of 25 or more dependent on the composition of number Job Searching/Job Coaching
  • Assist members in obtaining individualized information about how entitlements (e.g., SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, EBT, etc.) will be affected by employment so members can make informed decisions about employment opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma).
  • Prefer a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the field of rehabilitation/employment services or experience working with individuals with behavioral, mental, developmental and/or physical challenges/disabilities (which may include life experience providing care for a family member.)
  • Must have a fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive one within eight (8) weeks of hire.
  • TB Test clearance required at the time of hire and annually.
  • Ability to meet Copa’s driver eligibility requirements. Must have reliable transportation (own personal vehicle) with proof of insurance, registration, and a clean MVR for 5 year
