Staff Geologist/Environmental Scientist - Seattle, WA
Maul Foster & Alongi, Inc. (MFA) is seeking a Staff Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our Seattle office. This is an exciting opportunity for an early career professional to gain hands-on experience in environmental site assessments, fieldwork, data analysis, and remediation projects. Working closely with seasoned environmental professionals, you'll build a strong foundation in consulting through a balance of dynamic fieldwork and focused office tasks. Seventy percent of your time will be spent outdoors, conducting rounds of sampling and working directly in the field, while the remaining time will be dedicated to supporting our projects from the office. If you are excited about environmental science or geology and eager to build a career in consulting, we'd love to hear from you!
As a Staff Geologist/Environmental Scientist,
You won't just be a spectator-you will be in the thick of real-world environmental projects. You will become adept at performing a range of essential fieldwork tasks, including sampling sediment, soil, groundwater, stormwater, soil vapor, indoor air, and other media to evaluate environmental impacts and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Through each of these activities, you'll be hands-on with processes that directly support environmental site assessments and remediation efforts. With a focus on quality and precision, you will ensure each project meets our standards by conducting thorough quality assurance and control reviews, both in the field and with lab data, safeguarding the accuracy of all information collected.
Back in the office, your work will focus on transforming field observations into technical reports, offering clear and concise insights that inform clients, project teams, and regulatory bodies. You'll refine your project management skills by tracking tasks, managing budgets, and estimating costs to align with each project's goals and schedule. With project manager guidance, you'll ensure smooth coordination between field and office efforts, fostering strong partnerships with clients, contractors, and agencies through open, professional communication.
