The Director of Mechanical Manufacturing is responsible for leading and optimizing all mechanical and manufacturing functions across the organization. This role oversees mechanical controls, product development, manufacturing floor operations, quality control, procurement, safety, welding operations, and workforce management. The Director ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement while supporting strategic business objectives.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Highschool Diploma
Experience: 15 years of related experience.
or
Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent.
Travel: 10-25%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Manufacturing Operations for a region consisting of one or more production facilities
- Lead and develop the Manufacturing Operations team – leadership as well as front-line operators
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety protocols
- Working through your team, plan and lead the operational delivery of all products and projects achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
- Collaborate with the other Operations functions to implement new products, projects, changes, and operations
- Identify areas for process enhancement and implement solutions to streamline manufacturing workflows. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles throughout the organization
- Facilitate decision making using the Choosing By Advantages (CBA) Decision Making System methods
- Drive the application of Lean principles into daily management and all related deliverables, systems, and processes
- Facilitate the adoption of new systems, processes, methods, projects through strong use and support of change management methods (e.g. ADKAR)
- Be an intellectually curious and creative thought leader within the organization as well as externally with customers, partners, and suppliers
- Be an effective communicator and relentless collaborator seeking constant alignment between and among the layers and functions of the organization
- Be a key leader in the development and implementation of long-range business strategy
- Collaboratively work with all other functions to drive overall business success
- Support the bid and proposal process as required
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
