Horizon House, a non-profit organization, has been widely recognized for its services as a provider of community-based behavioral health, intellectual disabled and homeless services in Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware. Each year, Horizon House provides a continuum of services at over 100 sites to over 4,500 adults with psychiatric or developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol addictions, and/or homelessness. A pioneer in the field of community-based rehabilitation, Horizon House is widely recognized for its innovative approach to the delivery of services in a community setting.

Currently, we are seeking a Full-time Director Clinical & Behavioral Services to work in our Developmental Services Division Split.

Purpose:

  • Provide clinical support for adults who are diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder or sex-offending, to include comprehensive clinical and behavioral testing/evaluations and clinical services.
  • Facilitate the integration of behavioral and physical health services and promote person centered health and wellbeing.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Provide oversight of comprehensive service planning for all participants across the division
  • Assure adherence with all funding source/licensing regulations and agency policies and procedures

Supervision received:

  • Receives general supervision from the Vice President, Developmental Services

Supervision exercised:

  • Provides supervision to Behavioral Services Coordinator, Director Service Coordination and Clinical Nurse Supervisor
  • Oversees the supervision of all clinicians involved with in-house services provided by external providers.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Psychology (Doctoral Degree preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience working with adults who are diagnosed with developmental delays, communication disorders and /or autism spectrum disorder is required. Experience in evidence based therapy is preferred but not required. Must hold a full, current, and unrestricted PA licensure to practice psychology or active PA professional license (LCSW, LPC, etc.) or Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA or BCBA-D).
  • Experience in residential, inpatient psychiatric, or related setting strongly preferred. Experience with CBT, DBT, psycho- education, applied behavior analysis and crisis response is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory, progressive administrative, and senior leadership.
  • Experience leading professionals across disciplines inclusive of nursing, clinicians and social services.
  • Knowledge of clinical and rehabilitation services.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • PC proficiencies (MS Word, Power Point, etc.).
  • Detail oriented and very strong organization and analytical skills.
  • Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to make clinical and administrative and procedural decisions and judgments.

Scope:

  • Frequent listening, talking and writing
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop, go up and down stairs, and bend which may include direct intervention with participants.
  • Must be available for scheduled emergency on-call service and will be required to carry a mobile phone during regularly scheduled working hours and scheduled on-call service. As essential personnel, may be required to report to work during emergencies including inclement weather.
  • Varied work hours, including occasional weekend presence.
  • Provide intervention with emergency client situations.
