Dental Assistant Job Responsibilities
As part of our clinical team, you’ll help make every patient visit smooth, comfortable, and memorable. Your key responsibilities include:
Go above and beyond to deliver the myDental Experience — ensuring every patient feels cared for and valued
Welcome and prepare patients for treatments or checkups
Provide excellent chairside support through four-handed dentistry
Set up and sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
Keep operatories and common areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
Assist with patient scheduling, recordkeeping, and payment coordination
Support lab tasks and clinical procedures as directed by the dentist
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficiency, quality, and exceptional service
Dental Assistant Qualifications & Skills
1–2 years of dental assisting experience preferred, not required
Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control procedures
Understanding of HIPAA and dental office safety standards
Implant and Invisalign experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset
Skilled in four-handed dentistry and efficient chairside support
Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive in a team setting
Positive attitude and growth mindset essential
High school diploma required; Dental Assistant certification (RDA, EFDA, or equivalent) preferred
