Position Title: Data Management Specialist


Position Summary


The Data Management Specialist (DM) is responsible for ensuring that all data (technical data, computer software, computer software documentation, contract administration information, contract data requirements) HDUSA and its subcontractors produce during the execution of Army programs is properly accounted for, documented, and maintained in accordance with contract and legal requirements. This role bridges contracts, engineering, logistics, and program management to ensure compliance with data management plans and standards. The Data Management Specialist ensures end-to-end data management for ground vehicle programs maintaining accurate records of all data elements, managing changes, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and audit requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain DM plans, processes, and procedures for ground vehicle programs, ensuring artifacts are identifiable and maintainable.

  • Ensure the Data Accession List (DAL) is delivered and maintained in accordance with DI-MGT-81453C.

  • Ensure all data developed or delivered properly captures asserted rights of the data and the integrity of the data assertions. 

  • Develop tools and processes within the PLM workflows to ensure all contract data released has followed HDUSA release procedures. 

  • Document and maintain USG comments and requests for corrections to contract data is resubmissions meet contract requirements and HDUSA standards for data release. 

  • Conduct and support data audits and review compliance with DM policies and procedures.

  • Integrate data and media management activities with configuration management and cybersecurity processes.

  • Drive continuous improvement in DM processes, including change control, release management, and audit practices.

  • Work with contracts, program management, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure DM requirements are met and value is delivered.

  • Ensure integrity of DM databases and DM artifacts.






Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field OR equivalent DoD/Military training and experience

  • Experience is delivery of DAL in accordance with DI-MGT-81453C.

  • Experience with PLM and workflow management systems.

  • 4-6 years of experience in data/media management, cybersecurity operations, or documentation/configuration control

  • Hands-on experience with documentation and artifact tracking in a secure or regulated environment (DoD/Defense preferred)

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and security compliance (e.g., vulnerability scanning, risk assessment, RMF support)

  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

  • One or more of the following: Cloud+, GSEC, Security+ (CE), or SSCP


Preferred Qualifications



  • Active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

  • Experience with military system level data management. 

  • Prior experience supporting large, complex defense acquisition programs or major system integrations.

Actual compensation may vary based on relevant skills/experience, education and certifications, market and business considerations, and internal pay equity. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for discretionary annual bonuses, benefits, and other forms of compensation as part of Hanwha Defense USA's total rewards package.
