Meet the team:
Our Manufacturing Data Analytics is the digital backbone of Dexcom's global manufacturing operations, building the applications, data pipelines, real-time integrations, and dashboards that help with the manufacturing of life-changing medical devices. As a Data and Application Developer Engineer II – AVEVA PI, you'll work across a powerful tech stack (Ignition, AVEVA PI, Python, JavaScript's, BigQuery, Tableau, Maximo) to turn raw factory-floor signals into actionable intelligence. If you love solving complex problems, learning constantly, and being part of a globally recognized, supportive Agile team, we saved you a seat.
Where you come in:
- Configure, maintain, and administer AVEVA PI systems.
- Develop applications in Python and Javascript.
- Develop integrations between AVEVA PI and external systems such as PLCs, OPC UA, and databases.
- Develop data pipelines and queries using BigQuery and SQL.
- Create dashboards and reporting in Tableau.
- Contribute to IBM Maximo administration, development, and integrations.
- Assist in project delivery, requirements gathering, and user story creation.
- Contribute to validation activities including documentation, generation of test scripts and test script execution in Valgenesis.
- Analyze defects and recommend solutions.
- Maintain SOPs and system documentation.
- Provide 24/7 support as required.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of hardware and software platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Programming and SQL skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Factory automation experience.
- Experience with AVEVA PI.
- SQL and database experience.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, OPC UA.
- IBM Maximo experience.
- Experience in GxP-regulated environments.
- Experience with validation (IQ/OQ/PQ or UAT).

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or Master’s degree and 0-2 years’ equivalent experience.
Flex Workplace:
- Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
