Summary:

Primary responsibility is to provide scheduled and nonscheduled services for the movement of specimens, reports, payroll, banking, linen, and other materials between Catholic Health (CH) hospitals, patient service centers and the Central Laboratory. Couriers shall maintain required records of materials that are transported and insure the coordination of activities and assist in maintaining sound customer relations among various groups.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
  
  

Experience

• One (1) year driving experience
  
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Must possess a valid NYS Drivers License
• Clean driving record as defined in the Arrests, Convictions and Criminal Background Checks policy, HR-105-EMP
• Able to work well in stressful situations
• Consistently demonstrate a confident and professional manner to coworkers and the public
• Able to work safely with infectious and/or hazardous materials
• Ability to prioritize and problem solve
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• A courier must be Customer focused and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

• Position will require transporting various types of equipment, supplies, records, infectious/hazardous materials
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
