We are looking for a Construction Estimator who is driven by exceeding expectations to join our collaborative project team in any of our offices in Albany, Saratoga, Comstock, Dannemora or Watertown, NY.
In the role you’ll have the opportunity to work on active projects coordinating the progression of trades and design-field staff. You’ll provide support to the Project Managers by developing and maintaining project cost/change controls, project budget, review contractor’s unit price estimate, prepare new cost estimates, assist in reviewing process with the contractors, perform cost analysis, and change order estimates/negotiations, document control, scheduling, and RFI’s. You’ll be tasked with ensuring the project moves ahead to completion according to client standards by analyzing drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

Responsibilities
The base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $90,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
- Review of orders on contract for contract/procedural compliance
- Review/negotiate all orders on contract for projects within the Division of Construction - Region 5
- Review and estimate construction costs for both new and rehabilitation projects
- Act as liaison between contractors, field personnel, client, executive staff and contract management on issues and complex matters
- Assist with the review of project claims when requested
- Develop cost estimates for project teams
- Shall possess, at a minimum, four (4) years of experience respectively, in cost estimating, including the cost preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects, along with the review/negotiation of cost proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or associates degree with 2 years of construction estimating experience
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with construction estimating software - i.e. Means CostWorks #EastPMCM #NorthPMCM
