These classrooms operate inside Hamilton County Schools but are managed by Chambliss Center for Children, creating an innovative partnership that helps expand access to high-quality early childhood education.

Positions begin in late July for the upcoming school year.

• East Brainerd Elementary, 7600 Goodwin Road, Chattanooga 37421 - 8:00-4:30
• East Hamilton High, 2015 Ooltewah Ringgold Rd, Ooltewah 37363 - 7:30-3:30
• Tyner Academy, 6836 Tyner Road Chattanooga 37421 - 7:30-4:30
• Ooltewah Elementary, 8890 Snowy Owl Road, Ooltewah 36363 - 7:30-4:00
• Daisy Elementary, 620 Sequoyah Road, Soddy Daisy 37379 - 8:00-4:00
  
  

Pay: Starting pay is based on education and experience:

• $11.00/hour - High School Diploma, no childcare experience required
• $13.00/hour - Child Development Associate (CDA)
• $14.50/hour - Associate Degree
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a fingerprint background check
• Experience working with children is helpful but not required
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and coworkers
  
  

What You'll Do

• Supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing environment
• Assist with classroom activities that support children's learning and development
• Help maintain an organized and welcoming classroom
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Support the teaching team with daily classroom responsibilities
