The Role

We’re hiring a Buyer to help decide what goes on our sales floor. You’ll be reviewing items, pricing them, and helping keep our inventory fresh and on-trend. Experience with reselling is a plus, but not required—we’ll teach you everything.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Review and select gently-used items we purchase from customers
• Price items based on brand, style, condition, and current trends
• Keep the sales floor stocked, organized, and looking good
• Help customers during buy and sell interactions
• Jump on register when needed
• Work closely with the store manager to keep everything running smoothly

Uptown Cheapskate is an exciting retail store concept that sells quality clothing brands at affordable prices. Every month, our franchise stores buy and resell thousands of clothing items that have been gently used at a fraction of the prices originally charged. That’s why Uptown Cheapskate is such an effective idea that resonates with customers of every income bracket and style persuasion. Our stores feel more like a boutique than a thrift shop, allowing more people to feel comfortable shopping second-hand.

Since 2015, Uptown Cheapskate has joined forces with Kid to Kid and buildOn across the nation to raise money to build schools in developing countries. With your help, communities in Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Haiti, Nepal, Malawi, and Nicaragua now have the facilities that they need to educate their children for years to come.
