The Opportunity with McKinstry

At McKinstry, we are committed to delivering an exceptional client experience while creating meaningful opportunities for our employees to learn, grow, and advance. We are seeking an Associate Account Manager to join our Service Division in Seattle, WA, supporting our Western Washington Mobile Service team. This role offers the opportunity to build a strong foundation in account management, client service, and sales within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You’ll support a portfolio of “house” accounts—smaller, high-volume clients—serving as a key point of contact for day-to-day requests, renewals, and service needs related to preventative maintenance programs (HVAC, plumbing, and building systems). The work is dynamic and provides direct exposure to client interaction, problem-solving, and account coordination.

This role is designed as a development pathway, offering hands-on experience, mentorship, and close partnership with Account Managers and Account Executives. You’ll build core skills in managing client relationships while learning how sales and operations teams work together to deliver a strong client experience.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable engaging with clients—someone who takes initiative, follows through, and is motivated to grow within a client-facing, sales-oriented career path.

This role is based in Seattle, WA and operates on a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for designated house accounts, escalating complex customer needs and partnering with Account Managers as appropriate.
  • Manage transactional, high-volume customer interactions for maintained accounts

  • Assist with renewals, service agreements, and ongoing account activities
  • Identify and escalate potential service expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Coordinate with operations, business operations, and service teams to support project delivery and customer needs
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Account Executives, and technical service teams to align service offerings
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of account management plans for assigned accounts
  • Ensure Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems are accurately updated with account activity and plans
  • Shadow Account Managers and Account Executives to learn account management best practices and internal processes
  • Participate in training and learning opportunities to build knowledge of McKinstry’s Mobile Service offerings and account structures
  • Other duties as assigned
