Bend Rock Gym is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and community-focused Adult Programs Manager to lead and grow our adult climbing programs while serving as a key member of our management team. This position combines program development, coaching, staff leadership, customer service, and daily gym operations to create an exceptional experience for our members and guests.
About The Role
The Adult Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing all adult climbing programs, managing instructors and staff, and helping ensure the gym operates smoothly on a daily basis. This is a leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, building community, developing staff, and creating high-quality climbing experiences.

Compensation
$40,000-$60,000. Based on experience, qualifications, and leadership background.

Bend Rock Gym is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and community-focused Adult Programs Manager to lead and grow our adult climbing programs while serving as a key member of our management team. This position combines program development, coaching, staff leadership, customer service, and daily gym operations to create an exceptional experience for our members and guests.
About The Role
The Adult Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing all adult climbing programs, managing instructors and staff, and helping ensure the gym operates smoothly on a daily basis. This is a leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, building community, developing staff, and creating high-quality climbing experiences.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Organize, schedule, and manage adult climbing programs, classes, clinics, leagues, and events
- Instruct lead climbing, top rope, technique, movement, and specialty climbing classes
- Coach and mentor adult climbers from beginner through advanced levels
- Develop and implement new programs that increase participation and community engagement
- Monitor program performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Supervise, support, and develop instructors and front desk staff
- Delegate daily tasks and ensure responsibilities are completed efficiently
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
- Lead by example and help maintain a strong workplace culture
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Help ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Conduct routine facility walkthroughs and address cleanliness, safety, and maintenance concerns
- Coordinate with other department managers to maintain smooth daily operations
- Assist in implementing operational procedures and best practices
- Deliver exceptional customer service to members, guests, and program participants
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively
- Build relationships with members and foster a welcoming community atmosphere
- Support gym events, competitions, outreach programs, and member engagement initiatives
- Represent Bend Rock Gym in a positive and professional manner
- Strong climbing background with experience in lead climbing and climbing instruction
- Previous coaching, teaching, supervisory, or management experience preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills
- Current climbing certifications are a plus (CWI, AMGA, USAC, etc.)
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional special events as needed
