Summary
The Retail Distribution Center (RDC) Operations Supervisor will lead and develop a team of Ashley Associates; with focus on motivating, mentoring, and coaching the team. This position will be responsible for engaging the team to ensure they maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, performance, and productivity. The RDC Supervisor will provide their associates with the tools needed for success. This position must drive productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem solving.
The RDC Supervisor is responsible for all safety, quality, productivity, process improvement, and performance management for the assigned process path.

Compensation: This position pays an hourly rate of $17.22 - $25.82.
Profit sharing is available to eligible employees; this discretionary program is dependent on the profitability of the company.

Primary Job Functions
This section describes the primary /essential responsibilities that this job performs.
- Champion all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Complete safety walks within area of responsibility; validate and document safety incidents. Lead process improvement events to improve safety standards.
- Control inventory integrity within area of responsibility. Partner with Inventory leadership regularly to discuss inventory gaps. Create and execute action plans to correct systemic and behavioral issues that negatively affect inventory integrity.
- Lead process improvement events such as Kaizens, system upgrade implementations, safety blitzes, general process path projects, etc. Coach and teach LEAN and other continuous improvement strategies and methodologies within specific area of responsibility. Own the validation and quantification of financial gains of process improvements.
- Regularly partner with cross-functional team members to ensure that effective flow and quality standards are being met. Work to ensure that area of responsibility is in compliance with regulatory standards set by the company. Partner regularly with support functions to ensure that area of responsibility is current with ongoing initiatives as well as to develop new ways to close process gaps.
- Make employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.
- Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the area’s goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
- Manage employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring and administering performance reviews. Recommend, plan and/or implement employee training and skill development activities.
- Audit, maintain and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate.
- Communicate company and departmental issues and goals and facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, regular individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities.
- Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods and materials.
- Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.

Education:
- Specialized training beyond high school that can be obtained in one year or less, Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, Desired
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing and/or delivery or related area, Required
- Company issued PIV License or ability to obtain within 30 days, Required
- Knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen Process Improvement methodology
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
