Overview: As a Network Engineer, you will be a crucial part of our technical support operations, working to ensure the security and integrity of our digital infrastructure. You will monitor our systems, identify system faults, detect potential threats, and assist in incident response, playing a pivotal role in maintaining our networking infrastructure and safeguarding our technological ecosystem.
Position: Network Engineer
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. All candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance to Robinson, PA.
Travel: Travel as needed by clients or accessibility of issue. All employees traveling for Edgeworth must have TSA-approved identification.

- Investigate and troubleshoot networking, security equipment, and operating system errors
- Monitor traffic, security alerts, and event logs to detect suspicious or anomalous activities
- Provides post-sales, on-site, and potentially on-call support
- Set up and configure equipment in best practices and standards
- Design and implement secure and scalable wired and wireless networks
- Utilize tools to investigate and categorize events based on their severity/impact
- Providing real-time troubleshooting and consultation as technical contact for clients
- Analyze alerts and reports to identify potential incidents and vulnerabilities
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports, documentation, and notation of actions performed
- Collaborate to Identify opportunities to enhance monitoring and response processes
- Train junior network technicians, helpdesk, and participate in standards development
- Conduct site surveys and develop remediation plans for network optimization
- Contributes to the development of playbooks, procedures, training, and documentation
- This candidate will be expected to diagnose and resolve technical issues across a variety of hardware, software, and networking topics including but not limited to:
- Windows & Linux Operating Systems
- Security Applications (SentinelOne, Ironscales, Sublime, etc)
- Network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
- Networking and configurations (Switching, routing, firewalls)
- Mobile Device Management administration
- Scripting knowledge and syntax (Python, PowerShell, Cisco iOS, Perl)
- Identity Provider/Multi-Factor Authentication (Duo Security, Entra ID, Okta)

- 7+ years of experience in a customer facing technical support, or network support position
- 2+ years of experience in designing complex and large-scale network environments
- Strong technical background in enterprise networking architecture and security
- Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the ability to work under pressure
- Detail oriented and organized approach while working in a ticketing system
- Preferred certifications include CCNA, CMNA, CCNP, UFSP, and/or URSCA
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field is valued but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not required).
