SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer position calls for a keen eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a key member of the creative production team responsible for advertising assets including designing layouts for print and digital media. The teammate will also be responsible for communicating with supervisors, Ad Planning and merchandisers to understand and clearly communicate product offers. Additional duties include acquiring photography for design projects, and maintaining efficient, accurate production of weekly ad pages, direct mailers, ROPs, and other miscellaneous advertising projects. Upholding design guidelines and corporate branding standards is essential to the entire scope of work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design layouts for print advertising including weekly circular, direct mailers, ROPs, Point of Sale (signing and in-store communication vehicles) and digital assets including website support, email, social media, etc., and other miscellaneous advertising projects.
Produce final art using Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
Work closely with supervisors, Ad Planning, Sales Planning, and merchandising teammates in the development of ads to include all corrections and adjustments to advertising projects.
Uphold and maintain design guidelines and corporate branding standards by following established rules, including but not limited to organization, alignment, unity, contrast, hierarchy, balance and composition, relevance, and image quality.
Coordinate information and direction provided by supervisors, Ad Planning, Sales Planning, and merchandisers to produce advertising materials.
Proofread and make necessary revisions to advertising projects to ensure accuracy.
Acquire photography via a variety of resources; archived photos, internal photo studio, and stock photography resources (Getty, Syndigo, etc.). Ensure all photography is appropriate and accurate.
Finalizes and releases advertising elements to Visual Communications Services (VCS), pre-press and/or printers.
Provide art direction to the photo studio as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Keen eye for aesthetics and details.
Satisfactory performance reviews.
Strong communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Driven and self-motivated.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in Graphic Design.
1+ years of related experience.
Mac OS knowledge and experience required with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
