Employee Operations Generalist

Become the operational backbone at 1Sphere, managing office logistics, recruiting pipelines, and foundational HR processes. Critical role supporting rapid team growth, with competitive compensation, equity, and 100% health coverage. Perfect for empathetic executors.

What You'll Own

Office Operations Run the workspace that enables team productivity. Manage vendors, facilities, catering, equipment. Create an environment where engineers and GTM thrive. Handle logistics so team focuses on customers.

Recruiting Support Manage candidate pipeline for all open roles. Schedule interviews flawlessly, ensure exceptional candidate experience, handle offer process end-to-end. Enable fast hiring without dropping balls.

HR Foundations Set up benefits administration, build onboarding experience, create performance framework. Establish people operations that scale from 8 to 50 people. Define culture rituals and team rhythms.

Your First 90 Days

  • Run office operations smoothly (vendors, catering, facilities, equipment management)
  • Manage recruiting pipeline for 10 open roles (schedule 50+ interviews, maintain exceptional candidate experience)
  • Set up HR foundations (benefits enrollment, onboarding checklist, employee handbook v1, performance framework)
  • Establish team rituals (weekly all-hands, monthly celebrations, quarterly planning)

What We're Looking For

Must Have:

  • 2+ years in HR, people ops, or chief-of-staff roles (ran office operations, supported recruiting, handled employee requests)
  • High empathy + execution rigor (cares deeply about people experience AND ships checklists, docs, processes; writes clear guides/policies)
  • Comfortable building from scratch (excited to define processes vs. inherit them; comfortable as "first people hire")

Nice to Have:

  • Startup or high-growth experience (built people ops from 0 to 50)
  • Experience with HR systems (BambooHR, Gusto, Greenhouse, Ashby)
  • Event planning or culture-building experience
