Position Highlights
Academic Leadership
- Engage in active teaching and mentorship of Family Medicine residents across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Supervise and educate residents on the Family Medicine inpatient service, encompassing adult medicine and newborn care (OB optional).
- Ensure high-quality, evidence-based care through oversight of resident performance during inpatient rotations.
- Provide supervision in continuity and procedure clinics.
- Deliver direct patient care in the outpatient clinic setting.
- Lead 1–2 program-wide quality improvement initiatives annually to enhance clinical outcomes and resident education.
- Present 10–12 lectures annually on core Family Medicine topics as part of the residency curriculum.
- Serve as a faculty advisor to approximately five residents, supporting their professional development and academic progress.
- Participate in program administration, curriculum development, and regular faculty meetings to support continuous program improvement.
Typical Weekly Structure
- 4 half-days: Inpatient teaching/service
- 2–3 half-days: Resident clinic supervision
- 1 half-day: Procedure clinic
- 1 half-day: Protected administrative time
- 1 half-day: Conferences
- Office call only, shared in a 1:4 rotation with nurse triage support
- No hospital call required
- Optional, based on candidate interest
