A Day in The Life

As a District Sales Manager, you’ll be the engine that connects Toyota’s brand excellence to real-world results in your district. You will drive growth, partnership, and operational excellence, and ensure every dealership in your district embodies GST’s promise to be Fast, Transparent and Feel Good in everything they do.

Here’s How You’ll Make An Impact

Drive Smart Distribution & Inventory Performance

  • Coordinate all allocation and distribution activities across your assigned stores, keeping the right vehicles in the right places at the right time.
  • Leverage deep product and system knowledge to maximize sales velocity and dealer profitability.
  • Monitor inventory health, aged units, and accessory performance to make sure every vehicle turns into a success story.
  • Reinforce a culture of speed and visibility, helping dealers operate efficiently while communicating clearly across teams.

Grow Retail Sales & Market Share

  • Champion growth across both new Toyota vehicles and Toyota Certified Used Vehicles (TCUV), setting the standard for performance in your market.
  • Partner with dealers to build forward-thinking retail and marketing plans, ensuring they’re staffed, advertised, and equipped for success.
  • Conduct routine performance reviews focused on sales, market share, efficiency, advertising ROI, and inventory turnover.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, and be the catalyst that drives positive change, creativity, and competitiveness in your market.

Elevate Customer Satisfaction & Loyalty

  • Monitor and analyze customer satisfaction (CS) metrics to understand where each store shines and where it can level up.
  • Lead consistent CS and retention consultations using data from rejector reports, online reviews, and customer feedback loops.
  • Encourage dealers to create “Feel Good” moments that make every guest interaction personal, positive, and memorable

Champion Process Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Own the dealer lead handling and appointment process, ensuring every opportunity, whether walk-in, phone, or digital, gets the attention it deserves.
  • Conduct regular lead audits and SWOT reviews to strengthen customer engagement, communication methods, and follow-up quality.
  • Drive adoption of digital retailing tools and innovative technology that enhance the buying journey.
  • Assess and coach on leasing readiness to make leasing a seamless and credible option for customers.
  • Champion innovation in digital sales, leasing, online marketing, and social media strategies that make it easier for customers to engage, buy and feel confident in their Toyota experience.

You will be a trusted partner to you dealer network, guiding them to move Fast when it counts, stay Transparent in their interactions, and deliver Feel Good experiences that strengthen the Toyota brand and the dealer’s reputation in the market.

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree Pref
  • 5-7 years
  • Must be willing to relocate and/or live in the assigned Gulf States Toyota Region (Oklahoma).
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to teach and facilitate learning
  • Demonstrate self-management, time management, and process management skills
  • Demonstrate problem solving and performance analysis skills
  • Ability to influence others (negotiating skills, persuasiveness, & tenacity to follow)
  • Ability to promote, coordinate, and drive change
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required

Physical And Environmental Requirements

The job requires significant domestic travel. As a result, the duties for this position occur in various places including, but not limited to an office environment, car dealerships, and semi-industrial settings.  The associate will regularly be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions.  The noise level for this position will vary and the associate may be exposed to loud noise levels.
