We are seeking a Creative Content Intern with a passion for visual storytelling—someone enthusiastic, dependable, and creative with a strong interest in video production, photography, and social media content creation.

Under the guidance of the Director of Marketing Communications, the Creative Content Intern will support the Bank’s marketing and social media initiatives through the creation of short-form video, photography, and digital content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in professional content development, production planning, and brand storytelling in a dynamic, community-focused environment.

The following essential duties do not cover an all-inclusive list of work requirements. Individuals will perform other job-related duties as assigned, including work in other areas to cover absenses or otherwise balance the workload.

Essential Duties

  • Capture and edit video and photo content for use across the Bank’s social media channels, website, and internal communications.
  • Assist with planning, filming, and post-production of social media reels, interviews, community event highlights, and brand storytelling videos.
  • Organize and maintain the Bank’s digital asset library, ensuring consistent branding and accessibility of content.
  • Support the development of content calendars and help implement cross-platform strategies aligned with the Bank’s brand voice.
  • Monitor social media trends and recommend creative ideas for content that increases engagement and visibility.
  • Write engaging captions and on-screen text that complement visual content.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment for photo and video shoots.
  • Provide administrative or creative support for other marketing initiatives and internal events as needed.

Competencies

  • Basic understanding of photo and video production, including lighting, composition, and editing.
  • Proficiency or familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, or After Effects) or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) and awareness of current content trends.
  • Strong storytelling instincts and attention to visual detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently after receiving direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to maintaining the Bank’s professional and community reputation.

Work Environment

This role operates from the Bank’s Corpus Christi headquarters in a professional office environment, with occasional off-site photo and video shoots at banking centers and community events.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, and communicate effectively. The employee may be required to stand, move, or carry photo/video equipment weighing up to 20 pounds for extended periods during events or shoots.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is part-time position. Available work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional evening or weekend work for community events.

Travel

Minimal travel within the Bank’s service area is expected for this position 5-10% percent of the time. Must hold a valid driver's license, maintain a safe driving record and be able to drive to multiple locations, transporting marketing supplies and equipment.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Working toward an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Film, Photography, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Experience with photo/video equipment and editing software preferred. Training provided.
