The Brand Product Analyst I plays an important supporting role on the Brand Management team, helping to bring each season’s product vision to life for the Gear for Sports and Lifestyle Brands portfolio. This role combines analytical insight with creative merchandising execution - helping to shape how our brands show up across channels while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives.
The Analyst supports product setup, merchandising tools, and sales execution across collegiate, resort, and lifestyle markets—while also participating in customer and sales representative presentations, trade shows, and key brand meetings. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to contribute to the business of brand and product development within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Product & Line Management
- Assist in building and maintaining seasonal product line lists, ensuring accuracy for styles, colors, pricing, and product attributes.
- Track key development milestones and manage updates in time and action calendars.
- Supports the Product Manager with sample ordering, tracking, and organization for sales meetings and customer presentations.
- Help maintain seasonal product data across multiple systems and documentation tools.
- Support development of seasonal assortments and merchandising stories that align to brand positioning and market trends.
- Create assortment boards, line sheets, and product presentation decks for internal and external use.
- Assist in showroom setup and sample maintenance for Gear for Sports collegiate, resort, and lifestyle presentations.
- Support preparation of seasonal catalogs, lookbooks, and other sales and marketing materials in partnership with design and IDG teams.
- Compile and analyze basic sales and booking data to identify best sellers, product trends, and business opportunities.
- Assist in generating reports and tools that inform merchandising and go-to-market decisions.
- Conduct marketplace and competitive research to support brand positioning and trend direction.
- Partner closely with design, sourcing, planning, finance, and marketing teams to ensure product and pricing accuracy.
- Help coordinate sample management and communication across internal partners.
- Provide day-to-day support to ensure smooth seasonal execution and timely deliverables.
- Represents the brand professionally during customer meetings, sales presentations, and line reviews, both in-person and virtual.
- Comfortable presenting to customers, sales representatives, and internal cross-functional partners, sharing product stories and assortment strategies with confidence and clarity.
- Supports the team at trade shows, sales meetings, and customer events, requiring occasional travel as part of the role.
- Demonstrates poise, professionalism, and strong communication skills in all brand-facing interactions.
- Maintain digital organization of product files, seasonal tools, and master data.
- Assist with showroom upkeep, sample line transitions, and event or meeting preparation
- Participate in trade show and sales meeting support, as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Fashion/Textiles, or a related field preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, product management, or a related apparel industry role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Strong understanding of apparel product development, go-to-market strategy, and brand fundamentals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator/Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of fashion trends, customer preferences, and competitor landscape.
- Ability to travel 1–3 times per year for customer meetings, trade shows, or sales events.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Creative curiosity and interest in apparel merchandising, design, or product storytelling.
