As a Director of Architecture at JPMorganChase within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) Line of Business, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platform products. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains. Your work will directly influence the firm's technology strategy and operational excellence.
Job responsibilities
- Integrate Information technology asset management (ITAM) standards into enterprise architecture, procurement, and engineering workflows.
- Establish discovery mechanisms, data quality controls, and voting/approval processes across lines of business.
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory of the asset estate using technology asset management platforms (such as ServiceNow Software Asset Management, Flexera, Snow Software) and automated discovery tools.
- Define asset data standards, ownership hierarchies, and key performance indicators.
- Translate inventory data into executive-facing dashboards and audit-ready reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed asset governance into business processes.
- Support regulatory and audit requirements related to asset management.

Drive continuous improvement in asset taxonomy and governance practices.
- Communicate complex asset management concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Define and govern technology asset classifications (hardware, software, Software-as-a-Service, application programming interfaces, citizen-developed applications) across the full lifecycle, including ownership models, sourcing distinctions, and regulatory alignment (such as Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council requirements).

Ability to drive innovation and achieve target state architecture goals
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 7+ years applied experience
- At least 5 years as a Technology Infrastructure architect
- At least 10 years working in a highly regulated financial industry
- Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of architects
- Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
- Practical cloud native experience

Experience working at code level
- Experience with portfolio operations and cost management

- Experience in product management within technology organizations
